Role Overview

Support technicians remotely support customer deployments for the duration of build, live and break helping configure and audit systems. Working as part of a remote team remote technicians use their experience to solve problems and ensure site teams can get their deployments delivered.

Roles are based remotely with the requirement to attend site should technical expertise be required.

Location of Work

Remote Technicians primarily work from the Royal Wootton Bassett office and may be required to attend sites to aid with transport or deployments as required

Working Hours

Support officers work a shift pattern to include weekends and on call periods

Skills and qualities

  1. Must have detailed understanding of some or all of the following:
    1. IP networks (including routing and virtual networks) with demonstrable experience
    2. Knowledge of VoIP, SIP protocols and open source PBX technologies
    3. Significant experience with Windows, Linux, Mac operating systems
  2. Desirable experience:
    1. Strong team member
    2. Diagnosis of issues and explanation to non-technical customers
    3. Wireless networking experience
  3. Essentials:
    1. On track for a 2:1 in a technology-orientated degree or relevant industry experience
    2. Good verbal and written communication skills
    3. Experience managing customers in pressurised situations
    4. Understanding of events industry
